This site is dedicated to steganography and steganalysis. I use it to collect information related to my research and as a complement to the code that I publish on GitHub.

Here you can find tools and software libraries, such as Aletheia and HStego, together with research code implementing techniques from different papers in StegoLab. The site also includes articles, papers and resources related to steganography and steganalysis.

My name is Daniel Lerch and I started doing research in steganography and steganalysis during my master’s thesis in 2011. I continued my research during my PhD, which I finished in 2017 with the thesis “Image Steganalysis and Steganography in the Spatial Domain”.

Since then I have continued researching in collaboration with the KISON group (K-ryptography and Information Security for Open Networks) of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). I also work as a lecturer in Data Hiding at the UOC, and I have previously taught Cryptography. Currently, I supervise Data Hiding master’s thesis projects in the University Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity and Privacy.
